As far as music marketing goes, this has to be one of the freshest ideas I’ve heard of in awhile.  The man Hollywood Floss sent out a zip file to several music blogs containing 20 or so tracks, and it was up to the respective blogs to pick (and name) the songs that would make the final tracklisting for their version of the Xperiment mixtape.  I put my trust in the homies from weworemasks and downloaded theirs, but make sure you peep Floss’ Twitter, which I found to be the easiest way to find versions from other blogs.

And if you didn’t get to catch him do his thing during the Houston Press Music Award Showcase, he’ll be performing Saturday, August 14 at the Pearland Town Center Pavilion for a school supply fundraiser hosted by our homies from Sucker Punch.  They’ll be accepting $5-10 in school supply donations for students in need, so come out and support the cause if you can.
