Ever since seeing Jake Davis Test Shot on Billy Reid I’ve been looking for a nice pair of canvas shoes to straight beat up. With so many canvas shoes to choose from I finally narrowed it down to a pair of Vans Canvas Authentics and Keds “Call of Duty” Canvas shoes. As I thought long and hard [That's What She Said] about both the shoes and weighed the pros and cons, I decided to mess with some old shoes I had instead. In turn, I saved some cash as well as time beatin’ up new pair of shoes. I don’t claim to be the first to do this, but I think this looks really good.
These are a pair of John Varvatos Converse that I’ve had for 5 years or so. I removed the stiching from these laceless slip-ons and put on some leather laces. They definitely look much cooler and add a nice little detail to the shoe. If you’re not too fond of leather laces you can also use workwear laces which also add a nice touch to your Bucks and Brogues. Hit us up and let us know what you think
